Applying to the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School MBA Program

The first of the four admission essays will require you to describe and discuss your short-term and long-term goals, and how you think a University of Pennsylvania Wharton MBA degree will help you achieve these goals. The second essay will ask you to describe any failures or setbacks you have experienced and what you learned from them. The third essay will ask you to provide a situation wherein you experienced being an outsider, and what you learned from the experience. The fourth essay will let you choose between two questions; one asking about your leadership background, and the other asking you to share any other background you have that you haven’t shared with the University of Pennsylvania Wharton MBA Admissions Committee.

Provision of a fifth essay is optional, just in case applicants feel that there are any inconsistencies in academic performance, work experience, or background that should be explained to the University of Pennsylvania Wharton MBA Admissions Committee. The University of Pennsylvania Wharton MBA Program also requires application fee payment of $225.
